It’s impossible to know when and how you will find love – but it’s not completely random.
There are things you can do right now that will increase the odds of finding a meaningful relationship.
Here are six ideas to get you started…
1. Conduct a SWOT assessment
Treat your search for love like you would a business project or proposal. Work out the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats that relate to your dating life, or get a friend to help you. Self-awareness can play a big part in controlling or adapting the first impression you make when you meet people.
2. Talk to a stranger
Push yourself out of your comfort zone by sparking up a conversation with somebody you don’t know. If you like them, try arranging a date. If you don’t, it’s good to practice talking to strangers for when you next spot somebody gorgeous at a cafe, bar or anywhere else you happen to bump into them.
3. Go on a date
At DDM, we’re firm believers that going on as many dates as possible is the best way to find your future partner. We call it Domino Dating: going on dates with people who are roughly right for your but perhaps not your perfect partner. This increases your confidence and improves your ‘performance’ on dates so that you’re ready when Mr or Ms Right does come along.
4. Do some public speaking
Public speaking is great for building confidence. After talking to a room full of strangers where is the fear factor in talking to just one?
5. Join a yoga or Pilates class
In fact, signing up for any class will help you to expand your social circle and meet new people. The added benefit of yoga or Pilates is that it will also improve your fitness and posture, making your look and feel more confident.
6. Give DDM a call
If you’re struggling to get going with those tips, or if you want to take the time and legwork out of arranging a series of dates to create your Domino Dating effect, get in touch with us and we’ll do it for you.
